Living sustainably is a complex issue. Still, we think everyone can do something. That's why we try at the green fork to produce our dishes as resource-saving and eco-friendly as possible.
Sustainable food - that's where our ingredients come from:
Most of our ingredients come from regional organic farmers. Our potatoes, for example, come from the Weinviertel and Waldviertel - and they only come from there!
Cooking sustainably - that's how we do it
Production takes place in Austria - and that is as CO2-friendly as possible. How are we doing it? With renewable Energy sources? Why not recycle energy?
Our industrial kitchen uses the steam from the laundry next door as an energy source for heating the pots. Our ingredients are just too valuable to waste! Did you know that 30% food waste during production unfortunately is the average for large kitchens? We say 3% is enough!
Not only do we try not to waste ingredients, we also pay attention to the precious nutrients. Most of the ingredients can be processed gently by Shock Freeze procedure to preserve them. Thus we save ourselves artificial ingredients completely!

Sustainable packaging?
Personally, the mountain of packaging waste of ready to eat meals has always bothered us. No matter how good the dishes tasted. At latest on the way to the garbage can, the bad conscience came over us: so much plastic waste! That's why we opted for the innovative food trays, which can even be composted.
For over 18 years, our manufacturer has been producing biodegradable and compostable bowls that can withstand enormous temperatures even when heated. And best of all: this packaging is 100% biodegradable and compostable.
E-mobility brings it to your home
But how does your order from the green fork arrive at your place? We thought about something. We are currently working on a logistics solution that only cools our dishes with dry ice snow and does not need any additional energy apart from a small fan that allows the cold air to circulate. This energy saving allows us to switch to e-trucks for delivery. This is still in the test phase in Vienna - but we hope to be able to cover longer distances with the e-truck soon.

100% gluten free, lactose free and sugar free! You don't have to study our ingredients lists before you decide. With us you eat without artificial ingredients. Instead, with lots of vegetables and few carbohydrates.

We live for sustainability. And we are not just saying so! Our products are served in 100% compostable bowls. We do also test deliverying our meals in e-trucks in urban areas. CO2 neutral in 2050? We say now!
