Superfood from Austria
Superfood doesn't always mean chia seeds or goji berries. Local foods are full of similar or even more valuable ingredients. In addition, these do not have to be transported across half the continent and come from local farmers. Austrian superfoods such as spinach, lentils, buckwheat or broccoli play the main role with us. Because they're good for you and better for the environment. We would be happy to briefly introduce you to a few of our superheroes.
Small powerhouses: lentils

Lenses aren't just the oldest cultivated plant of the world, but also true slimmers. The yellow, red, brown or black legumes are full of fiber and complex carbohydrates, which fill you up for a long time and keep the blood sugar level stable. They are good for your digestion and affect your fat burning positively.

Austrian superfood rediscovered: buckwheat

The so-called pseudo-grain buckwheat has nothing in common with wheat, apart from a certain part of its name that is identical. Buckwheat belongs to the knotweed family and is therefore absolute gluten free. The small grain is also full of Vitamin E, B1 and B2. The mix of Potassium, Magnesium and Iron makes it a high-quality food that is particularly suitable for vegetarians. Buckwheat is rich in Silica, that makes your hair shine and strengthens fingernails. If you are still not convinced: there is three times as much Lysine in the small super-grains as in other grains. Full pea power

This little green Legume contains more than one would give them credit for. 100g peas only contain 81 calories, which is why they are ideal for weight loss. There is a colorful mix of minerals in the green pod such as Iron, Magnesium, Calcium, Zinc and Vitamin E as well as Amino Acids. As a superfood, the pea also has a positive effect on blood sugar levels, which is why it is particularly good for diabetis. And of course it contains a lot of protein.
